Job summary

Sierra Lobo is seeking a Liquid Rocket Research Engineer to provide expert technical advisory support at Edwards AFB, CA, supporting AFRL propulsion development efforts. Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a US security clearance.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with rocket propulsion and complex systems testing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research and development on missile, rocket, and space propulsion technologies.
• Support flight-testing activities and review contractor progress.
• Design and evaluation of propulsion concepts, test plans, and schedules.
• Travel as required and coordinate with government and industry partners.
