Job summary

TRI GAS & OIL CO INC seeks an LP Service Technician II to lead field service calls in the Annapolis/Glen Burnie area. You will install, repair and test LP systems and appliances, while delivering excellent customer service and driving profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years LP service experience, a Gas Fitter License, a clean CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements, and CETP certification. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring teamwork and flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years LP service experience required.
• Gas fitter license and clean driving record required.

• Must pass CETP program.

Responsibilities

• Lead service calls and field installations, repairs and testing.
• Clean and service LP equipment during site visits.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair heating and LP equipment and tanks.
• Install and test propane lines and propane-powered appliances.
• Be on call and willing to drive bobtail for deliveries when needed.

SUMMARY

The LP Service Technician II is responsible for leading the service call. The goal is to deliver the desired customer service experience and to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. Responsible for site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for cleaning and servicing LP equipment during the field visits
• Responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing and repairing heating equipment and of LP equipment and tanks
• Ability to install and test of propane lines and propane powered appliances
• Must be a team member and work when needed in our field to assure customer satisfaction
• Follow all company filed procedures and protocols
• Willing to cross train and drive bobtail to make deliveries (when needed)
• Able to be On Call

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Must have clean driving record with Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Must have a Gas Fitter License
• Must be able to pass CETP (Certified Employee Training Program)
• Must have 2-3 years of LP service experience
• Proven trouble shooting qualities
• Desire to grow and accelerate with the Company
• Good customer relations
• Must have a positive, upbeat attitude
• Must be a team member exhibiting a positive attitude and work ethic

WORKING CONDITIONS / EXPECTATIONS

Driving a company vehicle. This job operates in the field and you will be entering in the customers homes and or place of business. Working in hot attics or cold places, must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, pull, kneel, crouch or crawl. May need to be in restrictive spaces such as an attic or a crawl space. The employee must occasionally pull, lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
