Job summary

Horizon Ag-Products seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead our liquid manufacturing site in Onawa, Iowa. You will be accountable for safety, quality, production, cost, reliability, and people, running the facility as a business with a hands-on leadership approach.

You will oversee up to 15 employees, drive continuous improvement, manage CAPEX projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet environmental, safety and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years leading a team in a regulated or process manufacturing environment.
• Experience in liquid manufacturing, blending, or related processes.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting concepts (COGS, gross margin, conversion cost).
• Proficiency with MS Office; ERP experience preferred (Acumatica or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead EHSSQ programs and foster a safe culture with zero serious incidents.
• Maintain compliance with environmental permits and waste handling.
• Own manufacturing quality outcomes and drive right-first-time DOE.
• Oversee raw material handling, blending, filling, and packaging operations.
• Manage plant scheduling, OEE, and cost variances; drive improvements.
• Direct maintenance, reliability programs, and capital project ROI.
