Job summary

Vertiv in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a DVT Engineer – Liquid Cooling to perform hands-on testing, data collection, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced lab. You will execute DVT activities, validate liquid cooling systems, and support FWT and test documentation with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–4 years of experience in test engineering or product validation.
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and basic electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute Design Verification Tests (DVT) per test plans.
• Set up and monitor liquid cooling systems during second shift.
• Ensure system configuration, instrumentation, and test readiness.
• Monitor real-time performance and respond to alarms or faults.
• Collect and document test data per lab standards.
• Maintain test logs and shift handoff notes.
• Support data analysis and summarize results.
• Assist in FWT prep and test procedures.
• Provide real-time testing support and document results.
• Identify and troubleshoot test setup issues.
• Support root-cause investigations for failures.
• Escalate critical issues to senior engineers.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers.
• Assist with prototype builds and test setup changes.
• Improve test procedures and lab processes.
