Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, TWIC, and hands-on experience with barges, pumps, and gauges.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with barges, familiarity with pumps, gauges, and tanks.
  • Must be able to pass CBC Barge Readiness Course.
  • Ability to gauge tanks.
  • TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of tank barges, including but not limited to: Inspection of voids.
  • Reading and understanding barge documents.
  • Inspect all other working equipment on the barge.
  • Inspect and verify barge cleanliness prior to leaving the cleaning facility.
  • Starting of barge engine and inspection for defects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment that complies with environmental guidelines and policies.
  • Stay compliant with all regulatory bodies as it applies to the work being completed and with all safety rules and policies.
