Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Extensive hands-on experience with barges, pumps, compressors, gauges and tanks.
• Must be able to pass CBC Barge Readiness Course.
• TWIC credential required.
• Ability to gauge tanks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tank barges prior to cargo operations for cleanliness and mechanical issues.
• Read barge documents and verify all equipment functions.
• Identify safety or regulatory hazards and report findings.
• Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps and engines.
• Maintain a clean deck and prevent spills; ensure safe working environment.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed and support barge operations.
