Job summary

Peraton in Clearfield, Utah seeks a Linux System Administrator to support environmental information management and compliance enterprise software solutions.

The role involves architecture guidance, deployments, and coordination with data center operations, ensuring security updates and certification requirements are met. Onsite work five days a week; DoD environment experience and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux server environments and RHEL.
• Experience with security updates, patches, and compliance.
• Willingness to obtain CISSP certification and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Advise on architecture decisions for middle-tier changes.
• Evaluate new technologies and viable solutions.
• Collaborate with data center and infra teams for deployments and documentation.
• Maintain multiple environments with security changes and vendor updates.
• Perform builds and deployments for testing releases and CM in dev.
• Support development, implementation, and help-desk teams locally and remotely.
• Stand up, backup, tune, and secure systems incl. servers, middle-tier, databases, LDAP, HTTP, firewalls, and network devices.
