Job summary

FCS - First Community Services in Killeen, TX seeks an in-house SME to administer, monitor, and maintain Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS). Configure, secure, and optimize Linux services (Apache/Nginx, SSH).

Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support enterprise apps. Provide Tier 2/3 support, identify Linux/OpenShift solutions, manage security with the security team, and stay current on releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, CKAD/CKA, or OpenShift certification preferred
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and web servers; strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate issues clearly across levels of the org

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Configure, secure, and optimize Linux services (systemd, SSH, Apache/Nginx, cron).
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support applications.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated system issues.
• Identify, research, and implement Linux and OpenShift solutions.
