Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Linux/Unix systems engineer to support engineering design teams and manage enterprise compute platforms. The role emphasizes automation, scripting, and provisioning of both physical and virtual systems, with Puppet-driven configuration management.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of RedHat/Linux experience, scripting, and virtualization exposure. Cloud experience and LDAP/ Kickstart familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale.
• 3–5 years scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
• 3–5 years virtualization experience (VMware).
• 2–3 years hardware/maintenance in data center.

Responsibilities

• Provide best in class computer support for engineering design teams.
• Provide technical direction and escalation for Linux compute technologies.
• Drive automation of computer solutions both internally and for customers.
• Provisioning of systems both physical and virtual.
• Drive configuration management through Puppet.
• Proficient in scripting to automate tasks, system builds, and change management.
