Virtu Financial is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to ensure stability of our 24/7 trading infrastructure. You will diagnose Linux server issues, create and deploy OS-level scripts and packages, and optimize latency while coordinating changes with internal teams and vendors.

The role requires 1+ years of Linux/Unix administration, strong scripting in Python or Bash, and familiarity with Kickstart, Ansible, Git, and common package management tools.

Competenze

• 1+ years of Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Strong scripting ability with Python or Bash.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (NFS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, NTP).
• Experience with Kickstart, Ansible, and Git.
• Familiarity with package management systems.

Mansioni

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve Linux server issues.
• Create, test, deploy, and maintain OS environment packages and scripts.
• Identify optimization opportunities to reduce latency.
• Manage move/add/change requests and configuration as needed.
