Red Arch Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to support a large-scale Linux cluster in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will install software, perform day-to-day operations, monitor systems, and resolve issues while maintaining security and optimizing performance.

Qualifications include TS/SCI with polygraph, 15 years of Systems Administrator experience, a technical Bachelor's degree, and strong expertise in Linux, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, SaltStack, and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux command line administration and scripting.
• Proven track record managing large Linux clusters and virtualization.
• Experience with security/compliance policies and tools.

Job description

Red Arch Solutions is hiring a System Administrator on a priority program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Position Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
• General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
• Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
• Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
• Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Position Desired Skills:

• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Security+
• Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Salary range for this position: $185,000-$200,000 #CJ
