Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Systems Administrator SME to support enterprise IT operations for US DoD customers. You will help operate and secure mission-critical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain stability and performance.

A technical background with Linux/Windows, scripting, virtualization (VMware, KVM, Docker, Hyper-V), monitoring tools, and security best practices is required. Experience: 10+ years; US citizenship and active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree.
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and CLI.
• Scripting familiarity (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with system automation tools (Active Directory, Group Policy).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP networks.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker for Linux; Hyper-V, VMware for Windows).
• Some experience with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Zabbix, ELK).
• Understanding of security best practices and protocols.
• Security clearance TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
• US citizenship required.
