Job summary

Information Management Group (IMG) is seeking a Linux Operating System Administrator to join our West Mifflin, PA team. This on-site role focuses on robust Linux administration, security, and collaborative problem solving to support government mission objectives.

The successful candidate will manage RedHat Linux, OpenShift, VMware, and Cloudera CDP environments, enforce NIST 800-53 controls, and develop backup/disaster recovery plans while documenting configurations and working with IT teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years’ experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift.
  • Two years experience supporting information security authorization packages per NIST RMF (800-37/53/53a).
  • Strong understanding of system security principles and NIST 800-53 compliance; performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Opportunity

Information Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly motivated Linux Operating System Administratorto join our team in West Mifflin, PA. Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications

This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and performance of these systems while adhering to U.S. government risk management frameworks such as NIST 800-53. the administrator will handle system administration tasks, perform regular updates and security patches, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and develop robust backup and disaster recovery strategies. This role requires collaboration with IT teams to integrate and support various applications and services, ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with security protocols. Additionally, the subcontractor will assist in the development of Plans of Action and Milestone (POA&Ms), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Risk Based Decisions (RBDs) for deficiencies found during the information system authorization process.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, orequivalent experience.
  • At least five years’ experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift cumulative
  • At least two years of experience supporting development of information system securityauthorization packages in accordance with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-37,800-53, 800-53a)
  • Strong understanding of system security principles and experience with NIST 800-53 compliance. Proficient in system performance tuning, troubleshooting and problemresolution.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functionalteams

Desired Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience with Cloudera Data Platforms (CDP)
  • At least 1 year experience with Denodo data virtualization
  • At least 1 year experience with Neo4j development and administration or other graphdatabase technologies.
  • At least 1 year experience with LakeFS, RedHat OpenShift AI or other data versioningand MLOps tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, endpoint protection, vulnerability managementtools
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, VCP, CCA) are a plus.

Clearance Required:

  • DOD Top Secret or DOE Q or higher required prior to consideration
