Job summary

Information Management Group Inc. (IMG) seeks a skilled Linux System Administrator to support enterprise RedHat environments with emphasis on stability, security, and performance within NIST 800-53 frameworks.

You will handle updates, patches, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery while documenting configurations and supporting cross-functional IT teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of RedHat/ OpenShift/ VMware experience, scripting (Bash/Python), and strong security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years’ experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift cumulatively.
• At least two years of experience supporting development of information system security authorization packages per RMF (NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-53a).
• Strong understanding of system security principles and NIST 800-53 compliance; proficient in performance tuning, troubleshooting.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Opportunity

IMG is seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to support our customer's enterprise RedHat Linux environment. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and performance of these systems while adhering to U.S. government risk management frameworks such as NIST 800-53. the administrator will handle system administration tasks, perform regular updates and security patches, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and develop robust backup and disaster recovery strategies. This role requires collaboration with IT teams to integrate and support various applications and services, ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with security protocols. Additionally, the subcontractor will assist in the development of Plans of Action and Milestone (POA&Ms), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Risk Based Decisions (RBDs) for deficiencies found during the information system authorization process. Job duties include:

• Administer and optimize RedHat Linux systems, OpenShift, VMWare, and Clouderaplatforms including authentication, cluster management, user management, monitoring,performance and data management.

Qualifications

Clearance Required:

• DOD Top Secret or DOE Q or higher required prior to consideration

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, orequivalent experience.
• At least five years’ experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift cumulative
• At least two years of experience supporting development of information system securityauthorization packages in accordance with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-37,800-53, 800-53a)
• Strong understanding of system security principles and experience with NIST 800-53compliance. Proficient in system performance tuning, troubleshooting and problemresolution.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functionalteams

Desired Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience with Cloudera Data Platforms (CDP)
• At least 1 year experience with Denodo data virtualization
• At least 1 year experience with Neo4j development and administration or other graphdatabase technologies.
• At least 1 year experience with LakeFS, RedHat OpenShift AI or other data versioningand MLOps tools.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, endpoint protection, vulnerability managementtools
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, VCP, CCA) are a plus.
