Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a cybersecurity engineer focusing on Linux systems for the Advanced Cyber Initiatives team. You will collaborate with Information Security to deploy and maintain cybersecurity enterprise applications across on‑prem, SaaS, and IaaS environments.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting OS and applications, implementing security hardening, and supporting audits while participating in on-call rotations and daily operations briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on automation/scripting of server configurations and deployments.
• Extensive patching/upgrading of Linux/Windows OS, packages and apps.
• Experience with enterprise security systems engineering and PCI-DSS/NCUA practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT and enterprise security applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot Linux/Windows servers and enterprise apps.
• Deploy, optimize and maintain on-prem, SaaS and IaaS enterprise security apps.
• Remediate vulnerabilities; monitor, patch and administer platforms.
• Configure SaaS enterprise applications and TLS certificates.
