Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Linux Peripheral Software Engineer in Santa Clara to design and implement peripheral subsystems across Qualcomm platforms.

You will work on USB and low-speed interfaces like I2C, I3C, SPI, and MIPI protocols, performing hands-on kernel and driver work in Linux and Android and providing on-site customer support for bring-up and issue resolution. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Linux kernel development expertise, and experience with peripheral

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of C, C++, Java, Python or equivalent experience.
  • Proven Linux kernel / driver development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and build tools.
  • Experience with debugging techniques and performance profiling.
  • Familiarity with Git and software build environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and support Linux peripheral subsystems (USB, I2C, I3C, SPI, MIPI).
  • Hands-on kernel and driver development, debugging, and optimization in Linux/Android environments.
  • Collaborate with hardware, architecture, validation, and customer engineering teams; provide on-site support to bring-up and troubleshoot peripheral interfaces.
