Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop and extend Linux device drivers and host software for QCR-100 and related accelerators in a San Diego or Boulder setting.

You will work on PCIe device setup, firmware loading, MHI, DMABUF, and DMA transfers, contributing to low-level kernel and embedded Linux components. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Linux kernel driver experience, and familiarity with PCIe stacks and DMA concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of software engineering.
• 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Experience with Linux kernel driver development, kernel modules, sysfs and debugging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend Linux kernel driver code for PCIe device setup, firmware loading, MHI bus, DMABUF importation, and DMA transfers.
• Work on SoC systems including bus subsystems, DMA, PCIe and peripherals, synchronization mechanisms.
• Collaborate on kernel-level integration and debugging to ensure robust driver performance.
