Qualifications

• BS CS/EE/CE with 3+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of C; knowledge of C++ and Python desired.
• Hands-on Linux kernel troubleshooting and feature development.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture, design, and implementation.
• Understanding of IP networking architecture and principles.
• Strong problem solving and independent work abilities.

Responsibilities

• Track Linux Kernel developments and identify features for Arista products.
• Develop and maintain EOS Kernel features and tests using C, C++ and Python; build tests and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and CPU vendors to qualify new Kernel-dependent components.
• Contribute features back to the upstream Linux mainline.
• Lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
