Job summary

Quest Technology Management seeks a senior Linux Systems and Automation Architect to design, deploy, and support a scalable RHEL8 based infrastructure used for ASIC chip development. The role combines system administration, automation engineering, and cross-functional collaboration with ASIC tools teams.

You will manage LSF, RTM, EDA tools licensing, write automation scripts (Ansible, Python, Bash, Perl), harden systems, and coordinate changes via ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent.
• Typically 6+ years of experience managing RHEL Linux systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with LSF Scheduler/Resource Manager and RTM monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Perl for automation and systems management.
• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Familiarity with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and Flexera Licensing.
• Experience with NFS servers, LDAP authentication, and system hardening tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident/change workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure LSF Scheduler/Resource Manager and RTM monitoring.
• Install, update, and support EDA tools including licensing configurations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python, Perl).
• Administer RHEL systems at scale, including NFS, LDAP, patching, and hardening.
• Monitor and optimize system performance across compute/storage/network resources.
• Coordinate with architecture, networking, and infra teams to design solutions and manage incidents via ServiceNow.
• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation, coordinating patching and downtime with business units.
