Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a leading technology company within the Reality Labs organization, supporting Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality initiatives in Silicon Research.

You will administer Linux-based HPC infrastructure, manage EDA tool ecosystems, and develop automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve performance and scalability across large compute farms. The role demands strong Linux, scripting, and HPC experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infra/systems engineering experience supporting silicon/hardware design.
• Strong Linux administration with scripting in Bash, Python, and Perl.
• Experience with HPC schedulers (LSF or similar) and NFS storage.
• Familiarity with EDA tooling and license management (FlexLM).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.

Insight Global is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join one of the world's leading technology companies. This will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. This is part of the Silicon Research team within RL and job responsibilities are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Linux-based HPC infrastructure, compute farms, NFS storage, and workload schedulers (IBM LSF or similar) supporting ASIC/silicon design environments.
• Manage EDA tool ecosystems (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA), FlexLM licensing, and engineering infrastructure to ensure reliable, high-performance design and verification workflows.
• Develop automation and CI/CD solutions using Bash, Python, Perl, Jenkins, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Support the full chip development lifecycle by partnering with design, verification, and CAD teams, while troubleshooting complex infrastructure, storage, database, and application issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and scale large compute environments through observability tools, containerization (Docker/Singularity), version control systems, and enterprise storage solutions to maximize engineering productivity.

Pay range: $75+/hr

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure/systems engineering, preferably supporting silicon/hardware design teams
• Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), including scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)
• Working knowledge of scheduler, workload/queue management systems such as IBM LSF, NC, or similar HPC schedulers
• Familiarity with license management tools like FlexLM
• Experience with NFS
• Experience with CI/CD tools — Jenkins pipelines, automated build/test/release workflows
• Familiarity with the EDA landscape — understanding of tools from vendors like Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA, and how they interact with compute infrastructure
• Proficiency with configuration management tools — Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar
• Understanding of the ASIC/chip development lifecycle
• Experience supporting large-scale compute farms (1000+ cores) for EDA workloads
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Singularity)
• Knowledge of storage solutions beyond NFS (e.g., parallel file systems, object storage)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Familiarity with version control systems in a silicon design context
• Basic database management skills — experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) including installation, backup/restore, user management, and basic query optimization
