The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of hands-on DevOps experience and strong Linux, cloud, and automation skills to build secure, scalable infrastructure with colleagues across software, QA, security, and IT operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on DevOps, Linux, systems, or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Strong Linux administration skills with RHEL, CentOS/Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu.
  • Strong understanding of Linux processes, services, filesystems, permissions, package management, systemd, SSH, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting.
  • Experience with Git and source-control practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, firewalls, load balancers, and networking concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid U.S.-based environment with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu.
  • Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity across development and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot Linux operating system, networking, application, and infrastructure issues.
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Bash, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration-management practices.
  • Configure and maintain web servers, application servers, storage, databases, and networking components.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
  • Participate in production deployments, incident response, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Perform Linux patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, high‑availability, and business‑continuity solutions.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve application deployment and release processes.
  • Develop automation to reduce manual operational tasks and improve system reliability.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide production support when required.
  • Follow organizational security, compliance, and change‑management policies.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Linux DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure and platform engineering team in a hybrid role based in the USA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and production support.

The Linux DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure while working closely with software developers, QA engineers, security teams, and IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu.

  • Experience with ELK/EFK, Splunk, or other centralized logging solutions.
  • Knowledge of Linux security hardening and vulnerability-management practices.
  • Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, AWS, Azure, GCP, CKA, or Terraform Associate are a plus.
