Job summary

Leidos is seeking energetic, motivated co-op students to join our Linux computer engineering team. You will work in a Linux OS environment on state-of-the-art computer-based training systems for the U.S. Navy, including building Linux system images and developing power management scripts.

This rotation runs January 2027 through August 2027, with opportunities for multiple rotations. No prior professional experience is required; you will learn and contribute to high-impact mission-critical

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical degree with at least a 3.2 GPA.
• Able to learn and apply advanced computer engineering skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work at least 7 months full time as a co-op.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and cable computer-based systems.
• Configure servers and perform integration testing and validation.
• Develop Linux system images and power management scripts.
• Work on system foundation components in a Linux environment.
