Job summary

T-Rex Solutions, LLC in Fort Meade, Maryland is seeking a fully cleared Linux Administrator 2 to support an Intelligence Community program. You will design, implement, and maintain Linux infrastructure across hybrid networks and architectures.

The role emphasizes automation with Bash/Python/Puppet/Ansible, collaboration within a small Linux team, and mentoring junior staff. A TS/SCI clearance is required and compensation ranges widely based on scope and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (SEC+, CCNA).

Overview

T-Rex is looking for a fully cleared Linux Administrator 2 to work on a program in the Fort Meade, Maryland area in support of the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and develop solutions to meet organizational needs in a hybrid cloud environment. Join a small, talented Linux team that creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Linux instances on multiple networks and architectures.
• Collaborate with team members to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Strong Linux administration experience including configuring, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with diverse teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Experience creating, debugging, and implementing Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible automation scripts.
• Ability to work in a team and mentor junior staff.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies.
• Ability to communicate issues with team members and/or service owners.

Desired skills

• Experience with AWS, specifically EC2 Auto Scaling.
• Experience with aws-cli and boto3.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor\'s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor\'s degree. Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (SEC+, CCNA).
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with FSP security clearance is required.

Compensation

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $230,000. Salary is a general guideline and factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions are considered when extending an offer.
