Job summary

Tekscend Photomask Corp. is seeking an experienced Linux systems professional to support CentOS‑based platforms within a small team. You will install, maintain, and upgrade systems, automate tasks, and implement security controls. On-call rotation may be required.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in multi-OS environments, strong troubleshooting, and Perl scripting能力. Preferred qualifications include Rocky Linux knowledge and storage system experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience across multiple operating systems, mainly CentOS or similar Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Automation scripting for system tasks using Perl or similar languages.
• Experience in client-server environments and system upgrades.
• Knowledge of I/O, networks, and OS-related components.
• Ability to work independently and research technical issues.
• College degree in CS or related field preferred.

Job description

Purpose:

This position will be part of a small team supporting systems and technologies related to the use of CentOS Linux platforms. Diverse responsibilities include supporting storage systems, databases, and virtualization. Responsible for the analysis, installation, maintenance, custom automation backups, and upgrades of computer hardware and software. Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system, including security integrity controls. The position requires off‑hour support in rotation with other team members.

Knowledge / Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience working with multiple operating systems; primarily CentOS environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Software programming for system automation tasks.
• Client‑server experience and experience working with system installation and maintenance upgrades.
• Understanding of systems, I/O, and networks as it pertains to the operating system.
• Ability to work independently to research technical issues.
• A College degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
