The University of Michigan invites applications for a full-time Lecturer III in Linguistics. The successful candidate will provide high-level undergraduate instruction, specialized student advising and mentoring, and administrative leadership related to the appointment.

The position emphasizes teaching excellence, service, and support for students pursuing post-graduate study in speech-language pathology, audiology, or related fields, with opportunities for curriculum development and program

Qualificações

• Ph.D. in Linguistics or a related field.
• Proven track record of excellence in undergraduate instruction.
• Experience in student advising and curriculum development.
• Administrative or professional service is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Teach undergraduate linguistics courses connecting foundational knowledge to professional applications.
• Develop and instruct courses relevant to Speech and Hearing science pathways (e.g., LING 335; LING 336/PSYCH 335).
• Redevelop and manage experiential learning opportunities (LING 385).
• Advise Linguistics majors/minors and mentor students through prerequisite planning and graduate applications.
• Write letters of recommendation for prospective graduate applicants.
• Lead the Pre-Speech and Hearing Club and collaborate with College advisors.
