Qualifications

• Ph.D., J.D., or Ed.D. preferred; TESOL/Educational Linguistics training encouraged.
• 1–2 years teaching linguistics at a four-year university; experience with first-generation and underserved students is a plus.
• Ability to provide engaging, dynamic instruction and build positive rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory courses for English majors, future teachers, and ASL majors.
• Deliver more advanced TEFL methods and Elementary Literacy instruction; maintain course load of 44 instructional WLUs plus 1 non-instructional WLU.
• Consult with the Linguistics Program and English Department Head and attend meetings.
