Job summary

College of the Canyons is seeking adjunct Linguistics instructors to join an open pool for the Valencia or Canyon Country campuses. Positions are as needed and do not accrue tenure, with flexible hours to serve a diverse student body.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications in linguistics education and demonstrate ability to use new technologies, foster inclusive learning, and communicate effectively in writing and speech. Applications reviewed continuously.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Linguistics or applied linguistics.
• Or Bachelor’s in Linguistics and a Master’s in TESOL, anthropology, psychology, sociology, English or any foreign language.
• Equivalency: official transcripts showing 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, with at least 12 graduate units.
