Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Brazilian Portuguese Linguist to support high-priority translation and localization tasks. This role involves translating and editing content, evaluating linguistic quality, and supporting vendor translation teams on a variety of projects.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and near-native fluency in English.

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in English to Brazilian Portuguese translation.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Strong understanding of language quality management and editing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.

Familiarity with the social media or mobile industry is a plus.

Experience using computer-aided translation (CAT) tools.

Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate and edit content from English to Brazilian Portuguese, including user interface and long-form materials.

Evaluate and improve the quality of translations generated by machine translation or AI tools.

Conduct linguistic testing and resolve language quality issues.

Perform localizability reviews and maintain/update terminology and style guides.

Implement feedback from stakeholders and ensure consistency across translated content.

Provide cultural insights and linguistic support to internal and external translation teams.
