Job summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for Laundry Workers. The Laundry Worker will function in Environmental Management Service.

Work schedule includes early morning hours with rotating shifts and duties such as loading/unloading linen carts, delivering exchange carts, and cleaning linen chutes. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and handle up to 300 pounds in some tasks.

Qualifications

• Evidence of training or experience showing ability to perform duties must be provided.
• Qualifications will be evaluated according to the Federal Wage System standards.
• Screen-out element requires meeting minimum qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload linen trucks and fill exchange carts according to quotas.
• Deliver and rotate exchange carts to wards and other areas; collect soiled linen.
• Clean linen chute rooms, sanitize carts and respond to customer requests.
