Job Title: Linen/Uniform Attendant

Entity: HUP

Department: Laundry - Linen

Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, 3400 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA

Hours: Full Time Days, Per Departmental Needs

Summary:

Responsible for the preparation and distribution of linen supplies throughout the hospital, including the accurate and timely restocking of assigned areas, collection of soiled linen and equipment, maintaining an orderly work environment, and accurately recording duties and communicating problems to management.

Responsibilities:
  1. Restocks assigned area with supplies accurately and timely
  2. Inspects linen and prepares packs and/or carts for delivery
  3. Maintains clean and orderly work environment in the department and customer site
  4. Restocks assigned areas accurately and timely
  5. Communicates delivery to customer
  6. Documents delivery
  7. Communicates inability to deliver to customer and immediate supervisor
  8. Retrieves soiled linen from assigned areas, weighs and properly stages for pick-up
  9. Acknowledges linen request via walkie-talkie, telephone, or in person
  10. Turns in completed scripts at the end of the shift
  11. Assists with all physical inventories
  12. Breaks down full pallets of supply, brings linen to work area, assembles linen packs and carts, delivers linen packs and/or patient linen to assigned areas
  13. Returns excess supply and equipment to designated areas
Education or Equivalent Experience:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
