The Veterans Health Administration through the VA North Texas Health Care System is seeking a Laundry Worker to manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of linen items in the Textile Care and Linen Distribution Section.

Responsibilities include logging linen quotas, delivering to units, maintaining cleanliness, handling patient clothing releases, and supporting inventory and safety requirements. Work includes weekends and evenings as part of a rotating schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Duties are in the Linen Distribution Unit of the Laundry Section, handling receipt, storage, and distribution of linen items for the Medical Center.
• Linen quotas for units and clinics are logged and fulfilled, with deliveries scheduled and carts exchanged as needed.
• Carts are emptied, cleaned, restocked, and records are maintained for all deliveries.
• Duties rotate across weekday, weekend, holiday, and evening shifts.
• In emergencies, duties may move to distribution routes, laundry truck loading, or other zones as required.
• Release of patient personal effects and linen-related items is coordinated with nursing leadership and ward staff.
• Incumbent maintains linen room cleanliness and logs all transactions for tracking.
• On weekends/holidays, duties may include working in the Patient Clothing Room and assisting with loading/unloading linen.
• The unit participates in annual inventories and performs related duties as needed.
