Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required or 1 year of relevant experience.

+ Department: Environmental Services

+ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm; Every-Other Weekend (Saturday-Sunday) 6:00am-2:30pm

+ Facility: Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital

+ Location: Baltimore, MD

+ Salary: $15.00 - $21.80 per hour

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities

  1. Collect wash and/or distribute clean linens and apparel for assigned clinical areas.
  2. Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
  3. Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
  4. Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed.
  5. Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
  6. Wash, dry or fold laundered linens and apparel.
  7. Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
  8. Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.

Requirements

Education:

  1. High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  2. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

  1. Laundry, Housekeeping, or Environmental experience
