Job summary

Ascension Health Alliance is seeking a Laundry Associate to join their team at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. The role involves collecting, washing, and distributing linens while adhering to infection control guidelines. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably some experience in laundry services or a hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Previous experience in laundry, linens, or environmental services preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
  • Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.

  • Salary: $19.11 - $25.85 per hour

Responsibilities

Collect wash and/or distribute clean linens and apparel for assigned clinical areas.

  • Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
  • Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
  • Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed.
  • Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
  • Wash, dries or fold laundered linens and apparel, Identifying items for repair or replacement and notify management.
  • Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
  • Previous experience in laundry, linens, or environmental services
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting
