Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center seeks a Linen Room Attendant to manage laundry operations, linen inventory, and distribution to floors. You will supervise subordinates, coordinate with White Cap laundry, and ensure proper clothing distribution to residents while maintaining sanitation in the linen areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or institutional laundry.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Launder residents' clothing and manage linen room operations.
• Oversee sewing, altering, and mending of linen.
• Inventory, label, repair, and issue hospital linen.
• Coordinate with contracted laundry to ensure timely linen supply.
