Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Linen Attendant to maintain and distribute linen across the facility, ensuring infection control guidelines are met and patient care areas are stocked with clean linen.

Responsibilities include using a computerized linen management system, receiving deliveries from the laundry, and assisting in scrub areas as needed. A High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred, and 1 year of linen distribution experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1 Year Linen Distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of clean linen to meet daily needs.
• Distribute linen in a timely manner, following infection control guidelines.
• Operate a computerized linen management system for tracking.
• Receive clean linen deliveries from the laundry and load scrub areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Linen Attendant is responsible for maintaining an inventory of clean linen to meet the daily needs of the facility and ensure that it is delivered in a timely manner, meeting infection control guidelines, and assisting in the promotion of a quality experience for our patients and their families, staff, and for those individuals who use our facility on a daily basis. Responsible for prompt and accurate distribution of linen, utilizing a computerized linen management system, receiving clean linen deliveries from the laundry, loading and unloading of scrub areas and other duties as assigned.
