Job summary

Liberty Health Matthews, NC seeks a Laundry Assistant to manage linen stock and patient clothing care in a compassionate setting. You will replenish closets, transport soiled laundry, and ensure washing, drying, ironing, and folding of garments per schedules. Attend Environmental Services meetings and uphold facility policies.

Demonstrate neat appearance and good hygiene; work every other weekend with rest days midweek. This on-site role supports residents and staff in a busy care environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Attend Environmental Services Department meetings and inservices.
• Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
• Work every other weekend with rest days off during the week.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes linen closets and carts at appropriate times daily.
• Collects soiled personal laundry per schedule and transports to laundry area via covered hampers.
• Assures washing, drying, ironing, and folding of patient’s personal clothing.
• Assists with assuring laundry services with the Facility meet the needs of the residents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
