Job summary

The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort in Hershey, PA, seeks a Full-Time Laundry Attendant to operate industrial laundry equipment, sort and process linens, and support guest room cleanliness with care and timeliness.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience, be 18 or older, and possess a high school diploma or GED. This is a union position with weekend/evening shifts; benefits include paid time off, health coverage, and Hersheypark perks.

Responsibilities

• Operate 50lb washing machine, commercial dryer, and residential machines.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry.
• Sewing tasks for guest and employee requests such as buttons and hemming.
• Ironing/steaming guests' clothing as requested.
• Maintain housekeeping laundry room and rotate linen for freshness.
• Assist with quarterly departmental linen inventories.
• Inspect linen for flaws before delivering to guest rooms.

Job Duties

• Operating 50lb washing machine, commercial dryer, and residential washer and dryers.*
• Washing, drying and folding laundry.*
• Sewing tasks for guest and employee requests such as buttons and hemming. Handling special alteration requests from both internal and external guests.*
• Ironing/steaming guests clothing as requested.*
• Maintaining housekeeping laundry room to include sweeping/mopping floors, tidying chemical room, and rotating linen to ensure freshness.*
• Assisting with quarterly departmental linen inventories.*
• Inspecting and examining linen that is delivered to guest rooms floors for flaws.*
• Performing other duties as assigned.
