Job summary

Madison Court in Canton, MS is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform general laundry duties, sort and distribute linen, and maintain a clean work area.

You will wash, dry, and finish linens, fold and store resident clothing, assist with inventory, and follow infection control policies under supervision.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens, sort and remove stained or damaged pieces.
• Wash, dry and promptly remove linens from dryers.
• Distribute resident clothing and linens to designated storage.
• Fold and store linens and resident clothing; assist with repairs as needed.
• Keep shelves organized and maintain a clean work area; follow infection control policies.
• Attend trainings and participate in improvement processes as required.
• Be on-call for emergency situations.
