Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fort Leonard Wood, MO is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean and store linens/uniforms, ensuring hotel linen needs are met. The role pays $17.75 per hour and includes benefits such as PTO and health insurance.

You will sort, wash, fold, and store linens, operate laundry equipment, and report damages or safety issues. The position may require nights, weekends, or holidays and physical stamina is necessary.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some laundry experience and ability to speak English preferred.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 400 pounds.
• Frequently standing up and moving about the work area.
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Frequently working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled lines by bag, cart or chute from the floors.
• Sort all articles by kind, color and degree of soil; inspect and record damaged items.
• Operate washers and dryers per guidelines; ensure chemicals added correctly.
• Fold clean linens and store; operate linen feeder and folders.
• Report to supervisor any repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor supplies and minimize waste in laundry facility.
• Record discarded linen; report damages or loss to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
