Job summary

PACS is seeking a general laundry/housekeeping worker for our nursing home. You will perform a variety of duties to provide quality laundry service and maintain a sanitary environment free from offensive odors.

Responsibilities include handling resident laundry, labeling clothes, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering items to rooms, while following safety and sanitation procedures and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.
• No certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean linen for residents' care and comfort.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary procedures for laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.
