Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Richmond, VA is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure timely processing of linens and uphold guest satisfaction. You will operate all laundry equipment, sort and transport items, and maintain department cleanliness in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Candidates should be able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. English communication skills and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Push/pull carts up to 250 pounds often.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to communicate in English with guests and staff.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Sort dirty linen from the chute and prepare for processing.
• Pickup dirty linen from Food & Beverage outlets and banquets.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers and other laundry equipment.
• Process specialty items with smaller washers/dryers for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Follow OSHA safety and sanitation regulations.
• Participate in monthly linen inventories.
• Support co-workers and maintain professional conduct.
• Maintain a professional appearance per Omni standards.
• Respond to emergencies to ensure a safe working and guest environment.
• Attend required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties as required by management.
