Job summary

PACS is hiring for a general laundry and housekeeping role at our Florida facility. The position provides laundry services to residents, ensures linen is clean and available, and maintains sanitary conditions in the nursing home.

Attention to safety and proper use of equipment is essential. The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school diploma, basic math skills, and the ability to read and follow directions.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required or preferred.
• 1 year of experience in laundry/housekeeping is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing items as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary procedures for laundry duties and maintain supplies.
• Use laundry equipment safely and report issues.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
