Job summary

Aventura at the Bay is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide to maintain clean clothing, linens, and facility laundry for our residents in Saint Petersburg, FL. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and meticulous care in handling all laundry items.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry, operating machines safely, inspecting items, and reporting equipment issues. Prior experience in laundry, housekeeping, or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or long-term care experience.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment or willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing, linens, towels, and other facility laundry.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly.
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special attention.
• Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate departments and resident areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding work areas.
• Follow infection control procedures and established guidelines for handling soiled and clean laundry.
• Use detergents, cleaning products, and other laundry supplies according to safety instructions.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or other issues to the supervisor.
