Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or long-term care experience.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment or willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing, linens, towels, and other facility laundry.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly.
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special attention.
• Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate departments and resident areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding work areas.
• Handle laundry supplies appropriately and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Follow infection control procedures and established guidelines for handling soiled and clean laundry.
• Use detergents, cleaning products, and other laundry supplies according to safety instructions.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or other issues to the supervisor.
