Job summary

Westwood Village Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain linens, garments, and washables in a clean, orderly environment. You will transport soiled and clean linens, operate washing machines and dryers, and help keep the laundry area safe and stocked.

The role emphasizes accuracy in inventory, adherence to center policies, and courteous service to residents, families, and staff. High school or equivalent preferred; ability to read and understand English is required; TB

Qualifications

• Good physical condition.
• Working knowledge of standard laundry materials, techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and their use.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to interact positively with staff, residents, families, and visitors.
• Annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Responsibilities

• Transport soiled and clean linen carts.
• Operate washers and dryers.
• Load and unload linen; fold and distribute laundry.
• Maintain linen inventory records.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute customer clothing.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all center policies and procedures.
• Check stock and report supply needs.
