Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for day shift responsibilities, including cleaning patient rooms, sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and keeping equipment and carts organized. Weekend rotation may be required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills. This role supports Mount Carmel and Trinity Health’s mission with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
• Move furniture for repair or cleaning and set up meeting rooms.
• Assist in cleaning of emergency spills/floods that are observed or requested

Position Purpose:

• In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Technician - Environmental Services creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility
