Job summary

Westin Chicago North Shore is seeking a Laundry Attendant to process soiled linen, distribute clean linen, and ensure quality according to SOPs. You will sort, inspect, and operate washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders, reporting any malfunctions to keep the laundry running smoothly.

The role requires physical strength, the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to communicate with guests and teammates.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience preferred.
• Able to operate industrial laundry equipment.
• Must be able to understand simple instructions.
• Must be able to speak language understood by guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Always provide professional and courteous service.
• Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
• Process sorted linen utilizing washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders; ensure quality standards.
• Place folded linens in designated shelf or storage area.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Notify Supervisor/Manager of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, or damaged linens to maximize efficiency.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
