Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group in Baltimore is seeking a Laundry/Linen Attendant to process soiled linen and distribute clean linen according to SOPs in a safe, accident-free manner. You will operate washers, dryers, ironers and related equipment, inspect for quality, follow safety procedures for chemicals, and keep the work area clean and organized.

No formal education required; prior laundry experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Prior laundry experience desirable.
• Basic communication and reading skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort soiled linen into containers following all safety practices.
• Process sorted linen using washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers and feeders; ensure quality.
• Follow hazardous chemical procedures; ensure bloodied linen does not return to supplies.
• Inspect linen for tears or sub-standard conditions; remove from guest inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Empty lint traps after each load to ensure equipment safety.
• Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment or needs to ensure efficient operations.
• Stock and prepare linen carts for delivery to guest room floors.
