Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Clean Linen Assistant for a second shift in Quincy, MA. You will load, wash, press, and finish linens, ensuring quality and sanitation.

The role offers a $16.24 per hour wage, standard 9:00am–5:30pm hours, and opportunities to work in a fast-paced production environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in hot and humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload laundry items from washers, dryers, carts, and conveyor systems.
• Feed clean laundry into flatwork iron press machines and finishing equipment.
• Operate flatwork iron pressing machines, air finishers, shirt finishers, and related laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Spray carts with disinfectant and wipe down carts and work areas to maintain sanitation standards.
• Shake out linens and materials to remove wrinkles and creases before processing.
• Position linens and flatwork items properly onto feeder ribbons or conveyors for machine processing.
• Smooth and guide linens by hand during ironing and finishing processes to prevent folds and wrinkles.
• Fold flatwork and finished laundry items and place products into baskets, carts, or conveyor systems.
• Finish shirts and garments using presses including sleeve, collar-cuff, and body press equipment as required.
• Process perm-press articles through steam conditioning equipment to remove wrinkles and set finishes.
• Inspect finished linens and garments for quality, cleanliness, and damage.
