Job summary

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is seeking Linemen to join our travel construction crew in Iowa. The team handles transmission line construction, storm restoration, and maintenance across CIPCO's system, with weekly travel to worksites and no residence restrictions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited electric utility lineman training program or substantial equivalent on the job training and/or experience.
• Attain/possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Join a travel construction crew to work on transmission line projects.
• Perform storm restoration and maintenance across CIPCO's transmission system.
• Travel weekly to different work sites; no residence restrictions.

Job description

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is currently searching for aLinemen to join our travel construction crew. This crew works on CIPCO transmission line construction, storm restoration and miscellaneous maintenance work around the CIPCO transmission system, which is all located in Iowa.This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement and provides excellent company benefits and per diem. Members of the travel crew do not have residence restrictions and travel to the worksite each week.

Schedule

• 42 hours per week (2 hours mandatory overtime)

Winter Hours: November 1 – February 28/29

• 40 hours/week (overtime as needed).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited electric utility lineman training program or substantial equivalent on the job training and/or experience
• Attain/possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
